The NC-2 Nitrogen generatormodel cover the medium to large nitrogen capacities, typically 330 - 1800m3/h at 95%N2 purity. Higher purities, alternatively dual purities, are often supplied.
The NC-2 is normally selected for systems to act as full inert gas system according to the IMO resolution. For tankers below 20.000DWT, nitrogen capacities below the 125% rule may be selected, typically 500-1200m3/h.
The NC-2 is a highly efficient and compact solution and due to its modular design, offering easy and flexible installation in narrow spaces onboard. The system is preferably equipped with dedicated feed air compressors which become an integrated part of the total system.
As for all Air Products Norway's shipboard N2 systems, the NC-2 incorporates the highly efficient and durable Prism® membrane separator. This separator is unique due to its combination of physical strength and tolerance to hydrocarbon vapour, without compromising on separation efficiency. Beyond considerable lower maintenance cost compared to other available systems, these factors will guarantee a sound investment throughout decades of operation.
