Air Products CO2 separation test-unit is being manufactured at Air Products work site in Kristiansand, Norway.

Six months ago Air Products Norway released the news of pursuing the technology of CO₂ separation through a development project directed by the cement plant Norcem in the city of Brevik, Norway.

Four different technologies will be tested by Norcem, and Air Products was during the winter 2014/2015 invited to the phase 2 of Norcem`s test program for carbon capture, together with the University of Trondheim – NTNU, and Heidelberg Cement (the owner of Norcem).

Air Products will be using the same technology and the same method for CO₂ separation, as for Nitrogen purification, however the CO₂ membranes will have a special coating.

The plant will be delivered at the end of December 2015, and the CO₂ separation will start February 2016.
